(Ceftiofur crystalline free acid) Indicated for the treatment of lower respiratory tract infections in horses caused by
susceptible strains of Streptococcus equi subsp. zooepidemicus (S. zooepidemicus). Contains ceftiofur in a crystalline form; the
final product is a ready-to-use sterile suspension of CCFA in oi.l When injected intramuscularly, it is continuously released into
the bloodstream and is rapidly metabolized into its active form. Only licensed antibiotic for horses that offers a full course of
therapy in 2 doses. Treatment process is less stressful for the horse and more convenient for the veterinarian, caretaker and horse
owner.
