Product description: EZ Forage Dry is a forage inoculant treatment for
dry hay to reduce mold and yeast growth. It minimizes spoilage losses
that can occur with fluctuating field conditions, such as yeast spore
load in the field, and moisture variability. Allowing hay to be baled
at a higher moisture content with less leaf shatter provides higher
nutrient levels.
How the product works: An enzyme package breaks down the complex
carbohydrate into readily available sugars to “fuel” the biological
process. Eight strains of lactic acid bacteria inhibit the growth of
yeasts and molds as the hay goes through the “sweat period.”
Bacteria package: Enterococcus faecium, Lactobacillus plantarum,
Pediococcus acidilactici, Pediococcus pentosaceus, Lactobacillus brevis,
Enterococcus cremoris, Enterococcus diacetylactis and Enterococcus
lactis, Bacillus subtilis and Aspergillus oryzae fermentation products
