OptiCalc™ 50 is a supplemental source of more than 50 g of available
calcium for dairy cows during freshening. This calcium bolus contains
calcium chloride for immediate release, calcium sulfate for sustained
release, and essential vitamin D for the absorption and metabolism of
calcium and phosphorus.

Dosage and Administration:

Minimum Protocol:
▪Administer one bolus immediately after calving
▪Administer a second bolus 12-24 hours after calving

Extended Protocol:
For high-yielding cows, discuss with your veterinarian before
implementing this protocol:
▪Administer the 1st bolus at the first signs of parturition
▪Administer the 2nd bolus immediately after calving
▪Administer the 3rd bolus 12-24 hours after calving
▪Administer the 4th bolus 24-48 hours after calving
